Dear Bonecrushers and loved ones,

       I bring you greetings from Baghdad, Iraq.  My name is Captain Raymond E.
Johnson, Jr., and I am the new Bravo Battery Commander.  I am writing to you in
order to introduce myself and to help provide a smooth transition from one
commander to another.

       I had the privilege of taking over this outstanding battery from Captain Gary
Pina on 25 February 2006 here in Baghdad.  I look forward to accomplishing many
great things with the help and support of you and the Soldiers whom you
represent.

       My wife Felicia and I have been stationed at Fort Campbell for 2 years now.
Felicia is a Social Worker at Nashville and has a lot of experience working with
individuals.  We have one daughter whom is 2, Holley.  Felicia and I pride in taking
care of families; we and the great Bonecrusher’s FRG staff.  We truly understand
how stressful a deployment can be, however I guarantee by us working as a team;
the Bonecrusher Family Team will make this the best group in the 101st Airborne
Division.  That is how confident I am; we can do it together.

       What this means to you is that though we are now embarking upon a new
path with me as the commander, between my wife and I we are well equipped with
the knowledge and resources at Fort Campbell to successfully support our
soldiers and their families during this command.  Though Felicia’s current position
may keep her from having a more active roll in the FRG, she is more than willing to
participate as a needed resource when time permits.

       Here on the Forward Operating Base our soldiers are well provided for.  I am
sure that your loved ones have told you about the amenities located on this FOB;
an indoor swimming pool and sauna, a great gym complete with free-weight’s,
weight machines and treadmills,  and internet access to remain in contact with
loved ones just to name a few.

       I thank you for supporting all of the soldiers in this battery, battalion, and
brigade.  Our families are constantly on our minds.  The soldiers of Bravo Battery
are doing great things to restore peace and rebuild Iraq.  Every one of us has had
a great impact here.  It is important that we continue to work hard to rebuild this
country, and with your support it makes the job here a little easier.

       In closing, Felicia and I will keep the soldiers and families informed of events
as information becomes available.  Do not listen to rumors or half-truths.  I know
information is crucial and we will try to keep everyone informed, provide facts and
put your mind at ease.

       Please feel free to contact me if you have any concerns or need assistance
via email at raymond.johnsonjr1@us.army.mil.

                                                     Thank you,

                                                     RAYMOND E. JOHNSON, JR.
